The Bible-Thumping Jesus Freaks of the Invisible Boulevard at Fern Rock Station (from Degrees Kelvin, Beer, and the Price of Oil Paint)
“Good morning,
ladies and gentlemen.
Be glad you woke up
to-day, because
someone
else
didn’t.”
I walk off the bus,
my guitar case
strapped to my back,
and I laugh a little bit.
When I was young, I stood
up on the coffee table to dance,
and my father told me
that he knew I was
his tiny dancer, even
before I was born.
